Lunch at 13:00 (70€)
We, 120 loving humans, sit side by side to enjoy a Palestinian lazy Sunday lunch with a focus on Gaza. Gaza is a 6000-year-old Mediterranean port city famous in antiquity for its exquisite exported white wine. The lazy lunch is the collaboration and co-curation of chef Anouk the Happy Cook. PAND VANMOKUM has generously donated the whole space, and an army of loving volunteers and chefs blesses us with the spirit of loving generosity.
The lunch kicks off with a grazing shared table of entrees, followed by an ancient Gazan main dish of the season, and naturally a fabulous dessert by Lebanese Michelin chef Natalia Kerbage. These are accompanied by a glass of wine, a glass of fresh orange juice pressed as you wait, mint tea, and cardamom coffee cooked on coal as you wait. There will be music, naturally!
You will also take home a little booklet about the history of Palestinian food and heritage.
Movie screening (free)
The tables are cleared and Zatar pop-corn is popped while we watch the film:
The Wanted 18, a true story about 18 cows that were wanted by the Israeli army! The witty film is partially animated with talking cows, lots of suspense, and strange twists! Your ticket includes a password to watch, in your own comfort at home The Golden Harvest, an award-winning documentary about the 6000-year-old history of olive oil.
Design Exhibition ‘Poetic, political, and unapologetic’
Explore Palestinian designers, design, innovation, and beauty through an exhibition and photo gallery of young bold creatives, designers, change- and beauty makers. With a focus on Gaza.
